A space for grounded healing and steady growth.

About me

Hi, I’m Wesley,

I didn’t always plan on becoming a therapist. I actually started my career as an engineer—graduating into a world that was shutting down and finding myself behind a desk in a job that looked good on paper but felt empty. Day after day, I found myself stuck in a routine that drained me, wondering if this was really it.

It wasn’t. Around that time, my wife, Trista, introduced me to the world of couples and family therapy. At first, it felt like a wild idea—but something about it clicked. I began to imagine a life where I could help people, build a business with meaning, and still be present for the things that matter most: my marriage, my future family, and a life that felt real.

Looking back, I can see clearly that God was leading me into this work.

Today, I specialize in working with couples and families who feel stuck—whether in old patterns, unresolved pain, or rigid expectations of themselves and each other. I use EMDR to help people process the experiences that still echo in their present, even if they wouldn’t call it “trauma.” My approach is systemic, meaning I focus on how your relationships, beliefs, and emotions all work together—and how small shifts can create real, lasting change.

I’m drawn to this work because I believe healing doesn’t always have to be dramatic—it can be steady, quiet, and deeply personal. In session, I’m naturally calm, curious, and down-to-earth. I tend to get to the heart of things quickly, but I always want to follow your pace. I love helping people shift how they see themselves and the world, in ways that inspire freedom, connection, and hope.

Outside of work, I find peace in the little things—a starry sky, a good story, a walk through nature. I also love a challenge: home projects, working on the car, flying planes, or finding a new trail to hike. I’m a hands-on kind of person, which might be why I love this work so much—because it’s real, it matters, and I get to walk with people through some of the most meaningful changes in their lives.

If you’re looking for a space that’s grounded, calming, and deeply supportive—I’d be honored to walk with you.

Training and Specialty

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-backed approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. It’s especially helpful for trauma and anxiety and can bring relief and clarity where talk therapy alone sometimes can’t. Whether you're dealing with a single incident or a lifetime of challenges, we can explore whether EMDR might be a helpful part of your healing process.

Couples Therapy

I use a systemic approach rooted in Symbolic-Experiential Family Therapy, which means we explore the deeper patterns, roles, and emotional dynamics in your relationship—not just surface-level conflict. This work encourages honesty, connection, and meaningful change as you learn to engage with each other in more authentic ways.

Family Therapy

In family therapy, I take a systemic and experiential approach—looking at how each member’s voice, role, and emotions shape the whole. Together, we create space for honest conversations, deeper understanding, and new ways of connecting. Whether you're navigating conflict, transitions, or feeling stuck, therapy can help your family grow stronger, together.

Medical Family Therapy

Physical recovery is often impacted by emotional and relational stress. Medical Family Therapy supports individuals and their families as they adjust to life after a medical procedure, trauma, or hospitalization—addressing the broader impact on the whole system, not just the individual.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present to the experiences of the moment. In practice, non-judgmental acceptance is key to experiencing the benefits of life as it is, for what it is, and nothing more. This technique can help alleviate anxiety and worry, decrease stress, and support overall mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Gottman Level I & II

The Gottman method is a widely validated technique for couples therapy. This approach can be utilized to support couples in building conflict management skills and increasing intimacy. This approach can be beneficial regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or length of relationship.
